The secret of longevity
A good perfume should last. But often we feel that we've "lost the scent" after a few hours. Here are the professional secrets.
1. Hydrate your skin before application
Dry skin absorbs and "eats" the scent quickly. Apply a fragrance-free moisturizer 5 minutes before spraying. This alone increases longevity by 2-3 hours.
2. The right spots
Pulse points: wrists, neck, behind the ears, inside the elbows, behind the knees. Areas where blood flows warm the scent and release it gradually.
3. Don't rub
Rubbing wrists after application — the biggest myth. It destroys the molecular structure of the scent. Allow it to dry on its own.
4. Oil perfumes last longer
Oil perfumes have a higher concentration and adhere better to the skin. Usually 12-16 hours.
5. Apply on clothing
Silk and cotton hold the scent beautifully. But be careful — some oils may leave stains.
